About Me
I'm Uda Hodder-Gerginis, the founder of Phoenix Family Mediation Solutions. With years of experience as a family mediator and former family lawyer, I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges families face, especially when navigating separation and divorce transitions involving neurodivergent and special needs children.
My Experience
I am a Member in Good Standing with the Law Society of Ontario as well as an accredited member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators. My expertise includes a specialty in mental health and Autism Spectrum Disorder, backed by a Masters of Health Law and certifications from Kerry's Place Autism Services. My role as a licensed parent trainer for the Ontario Government’s Home Study and pre-adoption training programs has also equipped me with additional social work-related skills to support families through complex adjustments.
Personal Insight and Commitment
Beyond my professional qualifications, I have personal experience as the parent of two internationally adopted children with autism. This journey has given me a firsthand understanding of the joys and challenges of raising children on the spectrum, which deepens my empathy and commitment to supporting families like mine.
A Child-Centered, Collaborative Approach to Mediation
The focus of my practice is solely on mediation, as I believe that alternative dispute resolution is the ideal path forward, especially for families in conflict. Maintaining a positive co-parenting relationship is essential to the well-being of children during and after a separation or divorce.
My professional and personal experiences are the foundation of Phoenix Family Mediation Solutions, a practice rooted in child-centered mediation that prioritizes post-conflict family relationships. Using a collaborative approach, I strive to create peaceful futures for families in transition.
